Vol 29 - No 07 - November 2003 Institute news: Manufacturer Live 2003 The Institute recently took a stand at the Manufacturer Live 2003 event at Telford. Members and HQ staff were kept busy promoting the Institute and products such as ROME (Remote Operations Management Education), which impressed everyone with its slick operation and technical content. The event was useful not only in raising the profile of the IOM amongst supply chain and operations management professionals who were not familiar with the Institute and its activities, but also in making face to face contact with members, both old and new. Feedback on what is good and not so good about the Institute is extremely valuable and can help to determine the direction that the IOM should take and develop services appropriate to its members needs.
