SUPPLY

1. The quantity of goods available for use. 2. The actual or planned replenishment of a product or component. The replenishment quantities are created in response to a demand or products or components or in anticipation of such a demand.

OUTLINE

Manufacturing and logistics planning systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP II), Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) and Supply Chain Management (SCM), as well as human planners, plan Supplies to satisfy demands. A Supply means that an item is or will be available for use or sale, eg. as a result of manufacturing it.
