Institute news : Election to CouncilCouncil is the governing body of the Institute with responsibilities for all aspects of the running of the organisation. Members of Council are elected by the IOM membership.
Each year, four of the twelve elected members of Council must retire and are replaced by four new representatives elected by the corporate members (Fellows and Members) of the Institute. If you would like to become more involved in the direction and activities of the Institute, why not consider standing for election to Council?
Council normally meets four times a year at the Institute’s offices in Coventry with meetings starting at 3.00pm and lasting no longer than 3 hours. If you would like to discuss the role of Council members further, please contact the Chief Executive, Julie Tayler, at the Institute’s HQ (Tel: 024 7669 2266); email: iom@iomnet.org.uk).
Nomination papers will be sent out to all corporate members on 6th June and if you wish to stand, please ensure that the nomination papers are returned to arrive at the Institute’s offices no later than Monday, 1st August.
This is your opportunity to get involved in your Institute - it needs the active support of members to ensure its success.
