Vol 31 - No 05 - July/August 2005

Institute news : Election to Council

There is still time to get involved in the direction and activities of your Institute by becoming an Elected Member to Council.

Nomination papers were sent out to all corporate members, (Fellows and Members) on 6th June and should be returned no later than Monday, 1st August 2005.

Council is the governing body of the Institute with responsibilities for all aspects of the running of the organisation. Members of Council are elected by the IOM membership.

Each year, four of the twelve elected members of Council must retire and are replaced by four new representatives of the Institute.

Why don’t you consider standing for election?

Council normally meets four times a year at the Institute’s offices in Coventry with meetings starting at 3.00pm and lasting no longer than 3 hours.

If you would like to discuss the role of Council members further, please contact the Chief Executive, Julie Tayler, at the Institute’s HQ

Tel: 024 7669 2266

email: iom@iomnet.org.uk

If you wish to stand, please complete the form, get yourself sponsored by two other corporate members and return the form by 1st August 2005.
