The IOM always welcomes new members for our National Committees, particularly Events and Short Courses. The Events Committee aims to provide a programme of events that extends and promotes the operations management knowledge base, providing an outlet for both pioneering work and best practice. The events should enhance the members’ professional development, promote the status of the Institute and encourage membership growth. The purpose of the Short Courses Committee is to provide members with the opportunity to attend high quality, cost effective programmes at all stages of their career progression. The Committee seeks to ensure that the topics and course content evolve to meet changes in business needs and members’ requirements. These two Committees would welcome people interested in bringing a fresh perspective to how the Institute can meet the needs of its membership.
