Operations management in MBA programmes

A survey carried out in 1990 identified the fact that most chief executives believe that operations is the single most important area of employee know-how. A later survey of UK business schools has shown a wide variety of approaches to the subject - not to say confusion - which may contribute to the the poor image from which most respondents feel operations management suffers.
