Vol 26 - No 10 - December 2000/January 2001 Management Alerts Panel Corporate Financial Systems (CFS) has announced the Management Alerts Panel - Exception Reporting for Business Intelligence... Information is crucial to decision making in all industries. However, many managers using Business Intelligence software are frequently confronted with complex and lengthy reports. Working within tight time frames, it is easy to by-pass vital information. They need an early warning system for these critical problems that need to be resolved. The Management Alerts Panel has been designed to meet this need by giving early warnings about business problems when they occur. Pre-defined alert conditions are set within reports and when these exception conditions are reached the panel will provide an alert. This alert is displayed as a red man icon in the Management Alerts Panel window on the manager’s PC. By simply clicking this icon the manager can drill down into the report to address the issue. Further enhancements for the Panel will be the Browser and WAP phone modules. The Alert - Next Action to take dialogue box will follow.
