Vol 27 - No 10 - December 2001/January 2002

State of the Nation

When the Editor of Control asked me, as incoming National Chairman, would I write a few words on my aims for the next two years, I readily agreed.

I sat down and thought about where I wanted the Institute to be and the aims were obvious:

  • Grow membership
  • Increase availability of Operations Management education
  • Increase IOM's influence on outside word
  • Improve benefits for members
  • Maintain financial stability
