Member News: Keith Patterson MIOM

Keith Pattison recently gained his Masters in Business Administration after 3 years of part-time study at Northumbria University.

Keith has worked at Findus Limited, Longbenton, Newcastle upon Tyne fornearly fifteen years spending 7 years in Production Planning,2 years as Stores Manager and the remaining time in IS as SAP Development Manager.

His dissertation research was into national and organisational cultural differences between Sweden and the UK. Findus Europe (having separated from Nestle 2 years ago) was used as a template to prove or disapprove the provenacademic theory and previous historical research, predominantly Hofstede's studies of 100 countries, were IBM operated. The literature research was useful in identifying where any conflict may occur within the European business and involved internal primary research within the Findus organisation.

Keith attained his Diploma in Production and Inventory Management in 1994also from Northumbria University and returned to academic studies in 1999 togain a Diploma in Management Studies as a precursor for the MBA. Well done!
