Vol 28 - No 10 - December 2002/January 2003

New Editor for 'Control'

Having served as Editor of 'Control' for nine years, David Angove has decided to stand down from the position.

David joined the South West Branch in 1988, of the as then BPICS, and served as a Committee member and Branch President. At national level he has been a member of Council, Management Committee, and a member and Chairman of the Editorial & Publicity Committee. David has particularly happy memories of the consultation and planning involved in the changeover of the organisation from BPICS to the IOM in 1996 and also of the Simon Says column in 'Control' which answered a variety of questions for members.

He has spent much of his career in supply chain management and consultancy and has run many projects to implement or rescue various planning and control systems. He has worked with a variety of industrial companies ranging from large international organisations such as Avon Rubber plc, Lucas Industries, Electricity Generating Board to SMEs, and has a particular interest in the use of forecasting and uncertainty methods and the integration of systems over different lead times.

Our sincere thanks to David and his work as Editor over the years.

And

A very warm welcome to Gail Bradbear, our new Editor of 'Control'. Gail joined the IOMin 1997 and has been a member of the Editorial committee for 2 years. Gail is currently working for Ford as a Business Analyst on a pan-European IT implementation project.

We wish Gail every success.
