Supply Chain Re-engineering: A Case Study

This article describes a fiasco that occurred and curative supply chain fix when a large assembler funded the set up of a new supply chain.

Significant similarities exist between the concepts used in business process re-engineering and the case study. The article reviews stages undertaken to improve an inbound supply chain for complex plastic mouldings assemblies. The study was based on participant-observer and action oriented research styles. Confidentiality agreements have meant that all company names have been disguised.
